Brian and I made the difficult decision to move Bruen to a new school this coming school year. I know that the change will be great for him however change is the hardest on ME! We have love La Printaniere and he has learned so much. I am posting pictures of his last day there. We waited until after school ended to tell him that he would be going to a new school. I think he is a little nervous about the change but I know that he will do just fine.

Bruens last day at LaPrintaniere
Matildas End of the Year Ceremony
Matilda singing her heart out!
Matilda has finished her first year at LaPrintaniere Montessori. Boy did it go by fast. She has learned so much that she is confidant that her job there is done and she can now stay home with me! From counting beads, to art, to the infamous Rosa Parks, and Ruby Bridges. That girl is definitely smarter now than she was ten months ago. Here are a few pictures of her last day before summer break.

Roller Skater Teacher
Tonight Matilda strapped on her Barbie skates, tied a string around a stuffed puppy, and proceeded to skate around the house. She called herself a "Skating Dog Walker"! After a short while I could here her talking Bruen into putting the skates on. She told him that she would help him so he did not fall. The picture tells it all! Before I snapped the picture he told me to take it from waist up. Of course I could not resist, so please do not show this to any of his friends. I love the rare moments when they get along.
Leahs Rehearsal Dinner
Leah asked both of the kids to hand out programs at her wedding. Of course Bruen said sure whatever while Matilda asked why she could not be the flower girl! We explained that passing out the programs is a very important job and she explained that she has experience being a flower girl and that is the job that she really wanted! Matilda was so excited for the rehearsal dinner because she knew she would be getting a gift. All they way there she talked about what she thought it would be. She was convinced it was earrings. Luckily it was a necklace. I don't think they make clip ons for her age!
True Love
I love to take pictures of Bruen holding Bishop because it shows Bruen at his happiest. The minute Bruen wakes up he asks if Bishop is awake and wants to hold him. It brings me such happiness to watch both of their faces light up when they see each other. Bruen is so kind and filled with love for his baby brother. It is amazing how the birth of Bishop has made Bruen and Matilda better people. If only Bruen had the same love for his sister.....maybe one day!

A few funnies by Matilda
On Sunday the kids and I went to meet mom and Mr. David at Ninfas for lunch. When I sat down the waitress took my drink order. I told her that my husband was on his way and he could order his when he got there. Matilda was sitting next to me and said "Mom, Let's order dad a diaherria!" Of course I started to giggle and asked her what she was talking about. She said "Mom you know that frozen drink with the alcohol that you like to drink!" I said "Oh a Margarita." Yeah Yeah mom thats it.
Today leaving dancing she asked "Does God have super powers?" I told her yes and she wanted to know who gave them to him. I told her his dad. Then she thought for a minute and asked "Who created this world?" I told her God did. The she asked "How?" I told her with his super powers. A little further down the road she said"Mom do you want to know what I want to be when I grow up?" I was sure it was going to have something to do with God or super powers. She said "I am going to be a hair doer!" I said perfect Matilda that will be great. Her wheels never stop turning!
Mothers Day Tea
Today was the mothers day tea put on by the LaPrintaniere elementary. Bruen has been so excited preparing for this event. He has been talking about all the surprises that were in store for me. When I would try to get him to tell me what hey were going to do he would say "It's against school rules to tell you mom!" I am so proud that he did not cave! At the tea they had white linens, glass plates, cloth napkins, etc....very lovely. Once I sat down he started to serve me drinks, fruit, and croissants. He was so excited to be doing this. After bringing me my drink I noticed that he had torn his jacket and tapped it shut with clear packaging tape. As sad as I was about the jacket I could not fuss because he was being such a little gentleman. The tea ended after they all read us poems that they had memorized as well as sang to us in Chinese. My gifts were a decorated vase and a cloth bag filled with lavender soaps that he had stitched himself. I am sure these are the best gifts I will get this year!
